Jennifer Aniston's newest TV show is in trouble

Jennifer Aniston's newest TV show, "I’m Glad My Mom Died" which is based on Jennette McCurdy‘s bestselling memoir is facing trouble.

According to a new report from Puck, Apple TV+ is searching for a new director for the I’m Glad My Mom Died series because director Jason Reitman left the project just before production was set to begin.

Reitman reportedly departed due to creative differences with McCurdy, who serves as one of the show's writers, executive producers, and showrunners."

According to the outlet’s sources, one of the key conflicts stemmed from Reitman’s more comedic vision for the show, along with a 'tense exchange' that occurred during a casting call. Due to Jennifer Aniston’s limited availability, the streaming platform’s executives reportedly gave the creative team a deadline of one to two weeks to find a suitable replacement for Reitman — or the project would be suspended indefinitely.

For this series, Aniston will serve as executive producer and McCurdy and Ari Katcher will produce and write.
