Author of Slumdog Millionaire, Vikas Swarup, who was also a former diplomat and former High Commissioner to Canada recalls his moments where he bump into Jennifer Aniston at the Governor's Ball (2009).
He tells to Communication Head, Indian Express, Ambreen Khan, "At the Governor’s Ball post-Oscars, he recalled, intended to skip it to return to my wife, but I accidentally walked into Jennifer Aniston’s makeup room. She spotted me in my black bandh gala and said, 'Oh, so you’re the man.' The only thing I had with me was a copy of Slumdog Millionaire".
Vikas Swarup's book was adapted into movie “"Slumdog Millionaire" and won 8 Oscars out of its 10 nominations at the 81st Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director (Danny Boyle). The other Best Picture nominees were “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, “Frost/Nixon”, “Milk” and “The Reader”.
