Jennifer Aniston joined other celebrities in signing an open letter criticizing Disney’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The letter pertains attempts to pressure artists, journalists, and others through retaliation for their expression 'undermine the very core of what it means to live in a free society.' It concludes by urging all Americans to stand up and protect the fundamental right to free speech.

Other celebrities includes Jason Bateman, Robert De Niro, Jane Fonda, Selena Gomez, Tom Hanks, Olivia Rodrigo, Ben Stiller, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Keaton, Regina King, Diego Luna, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Natalie Portman, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short and Kerry Washington.

Anthony D. Romero, executive director of the ACLU, which organized the letter said, "We now find ourselves in a modern McCarthy era, facing exactly the type of heavy-handed government censorship our Constitution rightfully forbids".

"The silencing of Jimmy Kimmel and jawboning of media outlets through lawsuits and threats to their licenses evoke dark memories of the 1950s. We must remember, however, that Senator McCarthy was ultimately disgraced and neutralized once Americans mobilized and stood up to him. We must do the same today because together, our voices are louder and together, we will fight to be heard."

During an interview with LADbible, Jennifer Aniston was shocked when she found out Reese Witherspoon's real name after 25 years.

During Q&A, Reese asked Aniston to guess her middle name, from three options, Jane, Jeanne and Jane.

Aniston guessed incorrectly and Reese replied,  "It's Jeanne. That's confusing. I'm Laura Jeanne."

Aniston was shocked and said, "Laura Jeanne?" Aniston felt confused, and Witherspoon confirmed, "That's my real name."

Aniston then said, "Who's Laura? Who the hell's Laura?.Wait, Laura Jeanne? I'm not calling you that from now on! Come on, Laura Jeanne."

She then asked, "Where did Reese come from?" and Witherspoon revealed it's her middle name.

Aniston asked, "Oh, like Norma Jean?".

Witherspoon replied, "Yeah. I'm Laura Jeanne Reese".

Then Reese was also surprised to find out that Aniston’s middle name is Joanna, and said, "Jennifer Joanna. J.J. — Does anybody call you J.J.? Well, I do now".

"I remember we were on the set of "Friends" and I messed up and I turned to you and you were like, 'No, don't worry they like it when you mess up because we were in front of a live audience' and you were like 'Actually sometimes we mess up on purpose to make people laugh. It makes you laugh'."

During an interview with "Extra’s" Derek Hough about Season 4 of "The Morning Show", Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were surprised to see Derek. Derek was a professional dancer on the ABC dance competition series Dancing with the Stars from 2007 to 2016.

Aniston told Derek, "We should be in a studio with you, so you could dance with us."

Derek then asked them, "I was just going to ask you because I was talking to the casting director. They said that you both have agreed to be on next season of "Dancing with the Stars". Is that true?".

Reese answered, "Well, we agreed to stand in the audience and go this (clapping hands)."

Aniston added, "Maybe we'll be one of the guest judges".

Jennifer replied, "She believes we were mother and daughter in the previous life time. And I think that's why we such instant bond. She's just fantastic".

Then Drew told her that Shirley and her daughter are on video virtually. Shirley told Aniston, "I just want to tell you, Jen. I never forget how professional you were during the time we were making "Rumor Has It". You were really wonderful to work with. I want to tell you. Congratulations from 20 years ago.

Then Aniston burst into tears and said, "Oh my God, that was really a surprise". And she was asked why it means so much. 

Jen then answered, "I was with her when my dog passed away. And I was at her ranch in New Mexico, doing a past life regression retreat, which sounds crazy when I say it like that".
